Howdy, I am trying to make a simple volume on a new USB drive but when I right click the thumb drive in disk management nothing happens. It isn't greyed out or anything, it just does zero. I also tried to brand a simple volume using Command prompt merely information technology said: "A deejay specified is not dynamic. Delight specify a dynamic disk and try once more."

My last 3 ideas:

ane; the flash drive is lacking in some fashion....bad controller, bogus, counterfeit, bad fries, etc

2; effort another formating tool. I've had a lot of weirdness trying to format flash drives in Windows. Google for another.

I am aware of about 3 others.

However, I don't think I always had trouble if I wanted NTFS on the bulldoze. Only if I wanted FAT32.

Just try some other formatter nevertheless every bit a terminal resort.

3; tin you lot see the bulldoze at all in Diskpart? It may be formattable there?

Has in that location EVER been ANYTHING on this flash bulldoze?

None of my other drives show as dynamic, and I ripped it out of the packaging and plugged it in. Also, I just tried to format through file explorer and it shows "unknown chapters"

My last three ideas:

1; the wink bulldoze is lacking in some fashion....bad controller, bogus, apocryphal, bad chips, etc

2; try some other formating tool. I've had a lot of weirdness trying to format flash drives in Windows. Google for another.

I am aware of nearly 3 others.

However, I don't recollect I ever had trouble if I wanted NTFS on the drive. Merely if I wanted FAT32.

Simply try some other formatter nonetheless as a concluding resort.

3; can y'all run into the drive at all in Diskpart? It may be formattable there?
